holiday blog

Haven't posted in ages! I've got a few things to scan in from a while ago, but the scanner is burried (why do they make them flat!? they should have little roofs to make things slide off the top!). Also I am lazy.

Im working on something in secret, shh!

He doesn't do the full kung fu form, but it took ages so I'm not bothered.

The secret identity of Budda_Monkey

Some of you may have noticed a peculiar character with no profile picture named Budda_Monkey following many of our blogs.

I have uncovered the identity of the Budda_Monkey through the use of my highly advanced deductive skills and polygraph tests.
Budda_Monkey is in fact the one and only Charlie Minnion!

I think you will find Charlie that 'budda' is spelled with an 'h'.
Zing!

Time for some actual animation

I'm going to put all the animation excercises of the last few weeks in this one post, I'm not going to write a lot, but I might pad it out a bit later

3D walks (Note: Not walk cycles)

a generic 3d walk

a 3d walk using a video clip of my own walk for reference

2D Walk Cycles

My first attempt at a generic walk cycle.

(hands are a bit floppy and not too happy with the pop in the leading foot)

First attempt at a 2D walk cycle using my own walk for reference

Second revision of the same 2D walk, I threw the frames into photoshop and had a go at the arms again, I think its better but I've created a new problem by making the arms too stiff, it makes it look a bit robotic.

Leeeff, leeeff, leff right leff, right leff, right leeeeff!

The Barbarian of Photography?

Last week I was bitten by a wildlife photography enthusiast and now at the full moon I become one myself... According to the EXIF information, this was taken at 03:41, 03/12/09 in Manual mode with a 1.3 second exposure time at f6.2 with a 220mm focal length and was metered using a center weighted average... I have no memory of this, but I don't have a tripod here, so in my werewolf form I must gain the ability to hand hold super long exposure shots.

I bet a Conan lens would have been useful.

I found this photo on eBay while I was putting off typing my last blog post. This is the best thing I've ever seen.

The biggest downside is I'm now allergic to 35mm (It's the silver nitrate, no.1 cause of death for werewolf photographers)

FINALLY

I just finished uploading the last post from the Bradford trip, I did change the date on it, but just so that it shows up in the right month on the calander down the side...

Now to try and catch up with what I've been doing since I got back.
